As part of the events of Pink-October  National Beverage Company and Al-Tayf "Candia" share Dunia Women's Cancer Center the events of its breast cancer awareness raising campaign

 

The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products Company (Candia) have provided support to Dunia Women’s Cancer Center in the October Campaign 2022 to enhance awareness about the importance of early examinations of breast cancer.

NBC and Candia have contributed to the launching of the Campaign through a celebration organized in Alistiqlal Park in the city of Al-Bireh, which included many events and awareness activities, in addition to supporting the Social Cases Fund of Dunia Women's Cancer Center, which contributes to covering the costs of diagnostic screening for a number of women who are financially incapable.

Regarding this partnership, the General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and Al-Tayf Dairy and food Products Company "Candia", Mr. Imad al-Hindi stated: "Based on our human and social role, we are proud of our continuous partnership with Dunia Women's Cancer Center, through which we have endeavored to reach the largest possible number of women to promote their awareness about early examinations related to breast cancer".  He declared that such support was included in the two companies' societal responsibility through which they have sought to provide support to women who are financially incapable, encourage them to undergo the early examination.  He commended the efforts of Dunia Women’s Cancer Center which works to provide free examinations for about 300 women per year through the Social Cases Fund affiliated to the Center.

Mr. al-Hindi confirmed that NBC and Candia are giving the awareness campaigns of breast cancer large importance due to their direct impacts on women's health, clarifying that caring for women comes as a result of the effective and basic role played by women in the society. Al Hindi   has further asserted that the numbers showing the high percent of breast cancer in comparison with cancer diseases among women force all people to cooperate to provide the required examinations and healthy environment, in a manner that fits with our strategy for improving the Palestinian health situation.

Mr. al-Hindi praised the huge efforts exerted by Dunia Women's Cancer Center since its establishment for over 12 years in the field of breast cancer, which have been able to make a paradigm shift in the field of early examination of breast cancer, saving and improving the lives of a number of women, and stressed the need for cooperation among the various private and public organizations to face this disease.

On her part, Dr. Nufuth Masalmani, Director of Dunia Specialized Center for Women's Cancer, commended the strategic partnership that brings the center together with the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, and Al-Tayf Dairy and food Products Company "Candia", commending their efforts and endeavor for years in partnership with Dunia Center to reach the largest possible segment of women, and raise their awareness and urge them to the need for early screening for breast cancer, which reflects the commitment to community responsibility towards members of society in general and marginalized groups in particular.

She called on the local community to provide support in all its forms to Palestinian women to confront breast cancer, which affects positively on the health and community level of women, especially as it is one of the most common types of cancer in the world and the first of all cancer deaths among women.

Musalmani pointed out that the recovery rate reaches more than 95% in case of early detection, which requires periodic screening, and following a healthy lifestyle such as healthy nutrition, and exercise.

Both the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, and AL-Tayf Dairy and food Products Company "Candia" are interested in supporting Palestinian women in various fields in order to empower them in the community as part of a strategy adopted by the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola (Cappy), and AL-Tayf Dairy and Food Products (Candia) within the framework of their social responsibilities, and the two companies support annually the activities of the events of the month of Pink-October to promote awareness on cancer.
