In cooperation with several charities in the West Bank governorates, National Beverage Company  and Candia conclude the "Ramadan Al-Khair" Campaign in the West Bank

 

 

The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products Company (Candia), in cooperation with Raya Media Network, accomplished the “Ramadan Al-Khair” Campaign, which included the distribution of hundreds of food parcels in cooperation with various charities in the governorates of the West Bank.  

The Campaign aimed at the distribution of hundreds of food parcels to needy families, sick children and people with special needs. The parcels comprised an integrated food basket of food supplies, milk, juices and soft drinks.

In this context, Mr. Imad al-Hindi, General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products Company (Candia) said, "This Campaign has been made as an annual commitment by the NBC towards the groups of society classified as less fortunate, to help them and stand by them during the holy month of Ramadan”.  Mr. al-Hindi added that the parcels that were distributed took into account that they should include a wide collection of various nutritional needs of the individual.

Mr. al-Hindi indicated that the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products Company (Candia) have been keen, as part of their social responsibility, to enhance partnership with charities and local community institutions to achieve maximum benefit for those in need of such food parcels in various governorates.  He explained that private sector companies have a key role to play in supporting the needy groups, especially in the difficult circumstances experienced by our people.

On his part, the Director of the Friends of Diabetes Association, Mr. Muhammad Badran, expressed his thanks to  NBC for this campaign, considering that such campaigns would enhance social relations and cooperation among the various societal groups.  He pointed out that there is a positive effects of this campaign and similar ones on the beneficiaries of such food parcels, especially on the social and psychological level.

On his part, Mr. Bassam Walweel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Raya Media Network, stressed that the Campaign initiative came within the social responsibility of Raya Media Network who has been keen to adhere to.  He underlined the importance of such initiatives in strengthening solidarity among our people and strengthening relations with community institutions that provide care and support.  Mr. Al-Walweel praised the efforts exerted by the National Beverage Company and Candia in supporting charitable institutions and associations, which are not limited to the holy month of Ramadan, but extend throughout the year.  He appreciated the cooperation that has brought the organizations together over the past years in serving the community at all levels.

The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products (Candia) endeavors to implement, on an annual basis, several campaigns in the various governorates of the country in order to reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries in the various social segments, such as patients, poor families and children.
